Description:

The old BACO building is an iconic site in the Roermond city center. The National Monument built in 1905, which housed a flour factory, a bicycle factory, a cigar factory and the furniture company Berden meubels, is now the new head office of Wonen Limburg housing corporation. Wonen Limburg chose to renovate sustainably the historic building. [...] A glass shell has been constructed in the building (box-in-box principle) to maintain its character. By regulating the climate in the cavity, it takes less energy to heat or cool the offices in the summer
